8th Grade

 

Welcome back to Irwin Altman Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year!

 

Many of you already know that I have served as Assistant Principal for this cohort since they entered MS 172 as sixth graders. It has been a privilege to watch them grow over the past two years, and I am excited to continue supporting them during this important milestone year. For those who are new to our school community, this is my eleventh year serving as an Assistant Principal at Middle School 172 in District 26.

 

As a mother of two daughters myself, I understand the importance of a strong partnership between school and home in supporting student success. I look forward to working closely with our families to ensure that every student feels supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

 

Eighth-grade students will enjoy many special activities during their final year at 172 while serving as role models for younger students. Our team is committed to supporting their academic success, social-emotional growth, and preparation for high school.

 

We are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to celebrating our students’ accomplishments throughout the year.
